Race Headquarters.
New HQ at Longcroft Upper School – Molescroft.
Situated down Burton rd, which is off New Walk, (finishing straight), 400mts past the finish line on left hand side. (See website for goggle earth map)
A new sports facility. So No outdoor shoes to be worn in the gymnasium and Strictly no cycling shoes!! (remove shoes or use overshoes provided)
Parking.
Please follow the directions of the parking signs and marshals at the school. Race officials to park behind the sports complex, riders in the car park to the left on approaching the sports hall – beware low headroom.
Light Refreshments by Country Fayre Catering will be on sale at the HQ before and after the races. There are also plenty of cafes restaurants and shops in Beverley, approximately ½ mile from the HQ.
Chief Commissaires meetings for officials.
Meetings will be held in the gymnasium (strictly no shoes please, foot covers provided) – to be attended by Race Officials, Vehicle drivers, Motorcycle marshals and Team managers. The meetings will be addressed by the Chief Commissaire and Race Organiser or Safety officer. Team Car order will be rolled out at the meeting.

Medical Control
Facilities for anti-doping control will be in place at the HQ.
Riders required to attend will be informed by the Chief Commissaire.
Photo–Finish
Photo finish equipment will be used at the finishes. The camera will be situated on the left hand side of the road for the road race it is mandatory therefore that riders wear their arm number on their left shoulder.
For the Criterium the camera will be on the right hand side of the road therefore arm numbers to be worn on the right shoulder.
Frame numbers and back numbers will also be issued to assist with the judging. Numbers must not be folded or obscured.
Race Presentations
The presentation on Friday evening for the national Circuit race championships will be held in Saturday Market place immediately after the race at the commentary point.
The presentations for Sundays Premier Calendar race will be held immediately after the race on the podium vehicle.
All riders are invited to stay for the presentations, prize winners are requested to be available promptly for the smooth running of the presentations, especially on Sunday as the finish area needs to be dismantled and the road opened as soon as possible.
Sponsor and Civic Receptions
There are two receptions for Sponsors and Civic Dignitaries by invitation. Only guests with official accreditation will be admitted.
- The venue on Friday evening is the Beverley Building Society, adjacent to the start and finish line, in, Saturday Market Place 18.00 hrs to 21.00hrs
- On Sunday the venue will be the West Wood Restaurant Bar and Grill adjacent to Sessions Spa, 13.00 to 14.30hrs

- Longcroft School (HQ) has parking for 150 cars and is 400mts past the finish on the left down Burton Rd.

Sign on and Race Start Details
- Signing on will take place in the school gymnasium.
- Riders should be signed on at the latest 17.50
- Riders will line up at Race HQ in the road alongside the sports hall at 18.10 for Commissaires briefing.
- Riders can then make their own way to the circuit 1km, right out of HQ, through the Bar, left and first right into Ladygate.
- Access to the circuit at the end of Ladygate will be under control of race marshals at 18.30 for 10 min warm up on circuit.
- 18:40 Race will be started by Mr J Trotter of Halfords
- There will be a lead motorcycle for the duration of the event.
- Lapped riders will be withdrawn from the race
Race Duration 25mins + 3 laps
Service and Laps Out;-under strict control of the Race Commissaires.
The pit area will be at the end of the finishing straight in Sow Hill.

Sign on and Race Start Details
- Signing on will take place in the school gymnasium.
- Riders should be signed on at the latest 18.40
- Team managers must sign on prior to the Chief Commissaires meeting and deposit their licence with the licence stewards.
- Team cars to leave HQ by 18.50 and line up in Ladygate awaiting access to the pits service / pits area. Access will be for a 10min period from 19:10 once the support race is over. Note due to the size of the pit area only one car per team and one Neutral service car permitted.
- Riders will line up at Race HQ in the road alongside the sports hall at 18.55 for Chief Commissaires briefing.
- Riders can then make their own way to the circuit 1km, right out of HQ, through the Bar, left and first right into Ladygate.
- Access to the circuit at the end of Ladygate will be under control of race marshals at 19.10 to begin warm.
- 19:30 Riders will assemble on the start line, for introductions by the race announcer.
- 19:40 The race will be started by Councillor Brian Pearson. Chairman East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
- There will be a lead motorcycle for the duration of the event.
- Lapped riders will be withdrawn from the race.
Service and Laps Out
The pit area will be at the end of the finishing straight in Sow Hill.
Laps out will be under strict control of the Race Commissaires.
Important Safety Notice:- Emergency Vehicles.
Riders please note that the event is on a closed circuit – an emergency situation may arise in the locality.
In this instance we may have to allow emergency vehicles access to the circuit with little or no warning.
The Race Commissaire will give information on how the race will be stopped and restarted during his pre race brief.
First Aid
A first aid station will be set up for riders and spectators, on the circuit at the entrance to Saturday Market. First aid is provided by Yorkshire Ambulance Service - Private and Event services.
Toilet Facilities
Public toilets in Dyer Lane off Saturday Market and Lord Roberts Rd off Wednesday Market will remain open for the duration of the event, directions will be posted.

The East Yorkshire Classic Premier Calendar Road Race

Sign on and Race Start Details
- Signing on will take place in the school gymnasium.
- Riders should be signed on at the latest 09:00 (60mins before the start)
- Team managers must sign on prior to the Chief Commissaires meeting and deposit their licence with the licence stewards.
- Race vehicles and team cars to leave HQ at 09.35 and line up on the start grid in New Walk in convoy order.
- Riders will line up at Race HQ at 09.35 for Chief Commissaires briefing and depart at 09:45(15 minutes before the start).
- Riders to be lined up on the start line outside Sessions Health Spa – New Walk Beverley, by 09.50.
- Race announcer will carry out rider introductions.
- 10:00 The Union Jack flag will be dropped to start the race by Councillor Brian Pearson. Chairman East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
- The race will be neutralised until reaching the far side of Walkington village (approx 2.7 miles).

Marshalling.
We have assistance from Four Police Motorcycles and Eight experienced NEG escort bikes. In addition we have had to find 65 foot marshals to cover the 123 marshal points, some marshals have multiple points to cover and may only stay at each point for around 10-15 mins, however all junctions on the route will be arrowed but be aware for traffic if you fall behind..
Road Closures.
Three sections of the route will be closed to oncoming traffic, for the remainder of the route a rolling road closure will be in force for the main body of the race, however riders are still responsible for their own safety and should be prepared for approaching vehicles which may have strayed onto the course.
Feed Zone Will be set up on the circuit, after Huggate. Parking restrictions will be in force. Park on the Left hand side of the road only, Hand ups to be done on the Left hand side of the road only.Due to an accident during the men’s event in 2006 the feed zone will be marshalled- anyone not obeying these rules will be warned – any further violations the riders number will be taken and reported to the chief Commissaire after the race.
Important Note
The Race Cut off: We are operating a race cut off at the start of the finish circuit, 85miles (13 miles from the finish) Just before the roundabout on the B1248. This roundabout forms part of the finish circuit, leading riders will be approaching from the opposite direction.
Riders who have not made it onto the finish circuit before the leaders arrive will be stopped, and given a finish position. NO SPRINTING!.
They should then head back to the HQ or finish area (but not on the circuit)
Please assist in this control - listen carefully at the Chief Commissaires race brief and obey the Commissaires and race officials.
Race Convoy
Drivers will be assigned a place in the race convoy – car numbers must be displayed front and rear. Convoy to form under direction of vehicle co-ordinator at start line.
Once underway the convoy will be under control of the commissaires and vehicles must not reposition without approval. The race is operating under rolling road closure however the potential still exists for oncoming traffic. Some of the race route is on narrow single track roads.
Under no circumstances should drivers cross double white lines.
Race Finish Parking
Officials Parking,- will be on the left hand side of the road beyond the finish line – under strict control of parking marshals.
Spectators – please park at the HQ and walk back the 400mts.
Important note- spectators wishing to use Longcroft school parking must be there before the riders are on the finish circuit as the road will be closed.
