East Yorkshire Classic 2010 Course description.

Route Map

: To Beverley Bar and Right at the lights A1035. Left into Newbald Road and across the Westwood to crossroads Left to Walkington lights, Right at the lights. Through Walkington village (2.7 miles).
10.15: Start of race proper at national speed limit sign.
10.30: B1230 High Hunsley crossroads. Straight on to descend the Hill to the A1034. Left, then first Right to North Cave. First Right in North Cave towards Country Park, past the church and straight on to the end of the village direction Cliffe.
10.41: Through South and North Cliffe to end of road – Tee Junction Left turn (12.6 miles).
10.47: Continue on A1079 for 2.1 miles, to Shiptonthorpe roundabout
10.52: Right at roundabout, to Towthorpe Corner roundabout.
11.05: Straight on to take first Left. At Tee junction take Left again and first Right to descend into Warter village

: Take a Right at tee junction opposite the village pond and Immediately Left.
11.07: Up –Hill Prime 1- out of Warter. 1st time
11.43: Up –Hill Prime 3- out of Warter. 2nd time
12.19: Up –Hill Prime 5- out of Warter. 3rd time
: Drop into Huggate then Left into village (24.6 miles) after village – Right at Y junction towards A166.

: Straight through Huggate Wold then Left at cross roads (27.6 miles).
: Start descent to Millington Grange then Left to Millington village.
11.28: Through village 1st time (30.9miles)
12.02: Through village 2nd time (45.3miles)
12.45: Through village 3rd time (59.6miles)
: Right at crossroads on entering village then 2nd Left and Right again down steep narrow descent (Care) - narrow climb to B1246.
: At Tee junction Left onto B1246 (care) To Hill Prime Kilnwick Percy.
11.38: Hill Prime 2 1st time (34.2 miles)
12.12: Hill Prime 4 2nd time (48.5 miles)
12.43: Hill Prime 6 3rd time (62.8 miles)
: Straight on after Prime and through to Warter to complete 1st lap (36.3 miles). Continue for 2 more circuits (3 in total).
12.47: 300mts before end of 3rd circuit in Warter at village monument turn Right towards Nunburnholme.

12.52: Left after village (65.6 miles) then Left at Tee Junction - bottom of the Steep hill - Nunburnholme Hill Prime 7 68.1miles

13.10: At the top, Straight on at crossroads and drop into Londesborough then Left to Towthorpe roundabout. Straight on towards Market Weighton. Left before town centre (direction Goodmanham)
13.28: Up through Goodmanham village then straight on, to crossroads where Right towards South Dalton, (narrow roads and fast descent) at crossroads Straight on and again Straight on at next crossroads towards Etton village. At the next crossroads Right then at Tee junction Left into Etton (79.3 miles)
: Through the village to Tee junction with B1248 (Great Care!!)
13.38: Right onto B1248 heading south towards Beverley at roundabout (Dog Kennel Lane) bare Right to Killingwoldgraves Lane roundabout (83.2 miles)
13.42: Turn Left (direction Beverley) down past the Race Course to North Bar traffic lights. Turn Left at lights into finish straight, 400 meters to Finish line (85.2 miles)

13.46: Through the finish area to Molescroft roundabout – Straight on to Dog Kennel Lane roundabout 1st time (87 miles)
14.58: Dog Kennel Lane roundabout 2nd time ((91.7 miles)
: Left to Killingwoldgraves roundabout where Left to Beverley again. At the Bar Traffic lights Left again into finish straight to complete
13.53: 1 lap (90.1 miles)
14.05: 2 laps (95.1 miles)

70 minutes plus five laps of a 1.25km circuit through Beverley Town Centre with sections over cobbles.

98 miles over the tough rolling terrain of the Yorkshire Wolds.
